Which Follow Source Fits Your Task?

Planned workflow: Compare profile audiences, post engagement, hashtag and location authors, and custom lists. Understand access limits before choosing a follow source.

Which proposed Follow source matches my target population?

Profile audiences select relationships, post sources select engagement, hashtags select authors, and a custom list selects your input. Those populations differ and must not be combined by accident. Live sources remain unavailable; use this guide to understand the intended choices.

Profile audiences

A profile audience is either that profile’s Followers or its Following. Preserve which population was requested and show when the source was only partially retrieved.

Post likers and commenters

Post sources select likers or commenters as Follow candidates. They are not automatic liking, commenting, or direct-message features.

Hashtag and location authors

Hashtag and Location sources concern authors of accessible content, not every person interested in a topic or physically nearby. Location remains specifically unverified.

Your own list and source limits

A custom list supplies explicit names, still subject to identity resolution and exclusions. No source bypasses blacklist, current-actor checks, or platform restrictions.

Current Instagram settings and live source behavior are not yet verified. These links support only the topics named beside them.
