Protect Accounts with Clear Exclusion Lists

Planned workflow: Keep accounts out of unfollow tasks with a whitelist and exclude follow targets with a blacklist. Add usernames manually or import a CSV.

What is the difference between a whitelist and a blacklist?

An Unfollow whitelist protects people you want to keep following. A Follow blacklist excludes people from Follow targets. Changing either relevant list invalidates a previous preview; exclusions do not prove current relationship status.

Follow blacklist versus unfollow whitelist

The Follow blacklist blocks following selected accounts. The Unfollow whitelist keeps selected accounts followed. Their names describe different protected actions.

Add and import usernames

Enter one username per line or import a username CSV, then review syntax and resolution. A duplicate entry should not duplicate protection rows or actions.

Keep lists separate by Instagram account

Lists belong to one Instagram actor. Changing actors must show that actor’s lists and invalidate a preview made for another actor.

Check lists before each action

Changing a list increments its version and invalidates previews that used it. Recheck protection immediately before dispatch as well as during the preview.
