Planned workflow: Use an original username CSV template, check duplicates and invalid rows, and choose whether the list supplies task targets or protected accounts.
How do I format a username CSV for the local extension?
Use the username column and review the import preview for accepted, invalid and duplicate rows. The downloadable example uses fictional inputs. CSV preparation and validation are local development functionality, not evidence that live Instagram actions work.
In the development extension, open New task and choose Custom as the Follow source, or the specific-user Unfollow rule.
Prepare a CSV with a username header and one username per row. Use only a list you are authorized to process.
Use Import target username CSV and review the unique, duplicate and invalid row counts. Expand Review invalid rows to correct input errors.
Download username CSV template for a local example. The draft saves locally; input validation is not a live candidate preview and importing never starts an Instagram write.
Actual local development interface, version 0.1.0, captured October 27, 2026. Fictional CSV input; no live Instagram collection or action. This image does not demonstrate a released integration.
Start the file with username, followed by one account name per line. Use fictional example_account only to check the format; accepted names still need live resolution.
Valid and invalid examples
An example such as sample_person is valid parser input. A name containing spaces is rejected; a syntactically accepted row is not a verified Instagram account.
Duplicates encoding and quotes
Use UTF-8, review duplicate names case-insensitively, and inspect malformed rows before importing. Exported CSV cells are escaped to reduce spreadsheet-formula risks.
Import targets or exclusions
Choose task targets or a protected-list destination explicitly. A CSV import must never create Followed Memory as though this tool had performed those follows.
